FULL MEMBERS
Individuals who have an honorary degree in a field related to Health Informatics as well as a minimum of one year’s experience in Health Informatics OR three-year post matriculation qualification in a field related to Health Informatics and who have subsequently, for a period of not less than two years, had experience in Health Informatics or had at least three years’ experience in Health Informatics, to the satisfaction of Council. In addition, Council may, at its discretion, award “Member” status to individuals.
INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERS
Shall be those organizations who are active in health informatics or related fields to the satisfaction of Council.
STUDENT MEMBERS
Student members shall be individuals who are bona fide students and who are interested in health informatics.
FELLOWS
This is by election only and reserved for members with exceptional meritorious services and professional activities.Fellow members are exempt from membership fees.
MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTION
For the membership drive for 2024, SAHIA Council waived membership fees for Full Members and Student Members. In future years, the fees will be around R500 per full member for the year. Institutional members/Corporate Sponsors membership fee is R7,500 per year.
